Cassie is one of Canada’s most versatile youth girl athletes in Cross Country, Mid Distance and the Long Sprints.  She is one of the top 800m runners in Canada with a time of 2:08.67s. She had an incredible 2019 indoor season running Canada’s #1 time in the 800m with a time of 2:10.59s at the NB Indoor USA Nationals as a Grade 11 Girl.  In 2018 during the fall XC Season Cassie was named to Team Ontario and placed 10th in OFSAA.  Cassie placed 3rd in the 2019 OFSAA T & F Championships in the 800m and was part of her HS’s 2nd place 4 x 4 Championship Relay Team.  Cassie was selected to represent Canada at the U18 NACAC T & F Championships taking place in Mexico in July 2019 where she placed 3rd with a time of 2:11.15.  Most recently Cassie placed 2nd in the Ontario XC Championships on Nov 10th, 2019 in King City running a 6KM in a time of 23:10.

Cassie is also an accomplished Triple Jumper who has jumped 11.32m and a great Cross Country Runner who is ranked in the Top 15 in Canada in 2018.

Grades Cassie has a High School Grade Point Average of 3.6 and will be taking her standardized tests soon.

Career and Sports Goals Cassie wants to go to University to compete in Track and Field to the best of her abilities and also to study in the field of nursing.

Interesting Facts Cassie was born in Pickering, Ontario. Her background is Jamaican and English from her dad and mother. She has 3 siblings who she gets along with well. Cassie enjoys travelling, eating new types of food, sleeping in and spending time with family.
