Zion Brookes has competed in Track & Field in Canada on a high level for the last 6 years. Most recently Zion was Ranked #8 in Canada in the 60m with a time of 6.98s as a Junior (U20 Category). Zion ran that time at the Spire Scholastic HS Championships in Spire, Ohio in Feb 2020 when he was 17 years old. In the 200m Zion was Ranked #12 in Canada during the indoor 2020 Season with a time of 22.61s. Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic Zion was unable to compete outdoors in 2020. Zion is the LOSSA 100m Record Holder running a time of 10.79s NWI. In 2018 he became a Triple OFSAA Medalist earning a Silver Medal in both the 100m and 4 x 100m Relay while earning a Bronze Medal in the 200m. As a Grade 8 Student Athlete Zion was the Durham Region PS 100m & 200m Champion.

100m = 10.79s (NWI), 200m = 22.20s (-2.2w)

Indoor Personal Bests:

60m = 6.98s, 200m = 22.36s, 300m = 36.90s

Zion is a reserved Student-Athlete who enjoys hanging out with friends and is an avid video gamer in his spare time. He works Part - Time as well in a Home Decor Store.

Grades Zion is a recent High School Graduate with a GPA of 3.1. He has scored 14 on the ACT and plans to take it again shortly.

Career and Sports Goals Zion enjoys art design and hopes to one day become an animator. Through his love of Track and Field he also hopes to be able to run professionally and represent Canada.

Interesting Facts Zion really enjoys Art Design and listening to Music. His father has Coached Zion throughout High-School and was a Sprinter who went to UCLA on a full scholarship. Zion has 3 sisters and one brother.
